You take the great outdoors, a lot of indie and folk music, healthy living, and hundreds of yogis in one place, and you get The Wanderlust Festival.
Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to experience the music festival that “celebrates mindful living” on Stratton Mountain Resort and see what the hype was all about. Greeted with sunshine, blue skies and colorful yogis frolicking across crosswalks, I immediately became convinced that this was a yogi’s paradise even before pulling into the parking lot.
Unfortunately, I was too preoccupied with sampling eco-friendly products, tasting locally-produced organic dishes, jamming to rad folk music, and trying out different types of yoga classes and other “mindful” fitness activities to take good action shots. You could say I was lost in the festivities of the day, but here’s a recap of the few moments I was able to capture:
The beauty that you see on your way to / from Stratton Mountain Resort:
A gathering of yogis, the largest one I’ve experienced so far:
A quick interview about mindfulness for a documentary of Live A Moment:
So many activities to choose from, but hoop yoga with HoopYogini is my favorite:
If you are all about mindful living and want to learn more about how you can broaden your practice, then Wanderlust may just be for you.. as long as you have a few hundred dollars to spare for a ticket. It’s something I would recommend any yogis do at least once in your lifetime. Then you can go about your mindful way.. More information at www.Wanderlust.com.
